CHILD FIND
The Gilmer County School System is responsible for locating any children that may have a disability or be in need of special education services in our school district and community, including those attending private school or enrolled in home-school instruction.
Representatives from private schools, day care facilities, medical offices and parents of homeschooled children will be invited to attend a "Child Find" informative meeting annually at the Gilmer County School System Administrative and Technology Offices and the Larry Walker Education Center. Letters will be sent out indicating the time and place of the meeting.
